The new engine is more than a simple powertrain option as it gives the Gladiator an even greater appeal if you are hoping to get the best possible range out of your truck. What are the available engines?

Two engine options are available for the Jeep Gladiator, and they both give you an ample amount of power and efficiency. Coming standard is a 3.6-liter V6 engine that pumps out 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The engine pairs with a six-speed manual transmission, though an eight-speed automatic is optional. Optional is a diesel-powered turbocharged 3.6-liter engine that gets you 260 horsepower and an impressive 442 lb-ft of torque, which also pairs with either the six-speed manual or the eight-speed automatic. Towing is no problem for the Gladiator as it can haul 7,650 pounds with a payload capacity of 1,700 pounds.

What are some of the Gladiator’s features?

The Gladiator comes in four different trims, and each comes with a laundry list of available features. Starting the lineup is the Sport trim, which comes with cruise control, a manually adjustable tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, an eight-speaker audio system, and a 5-inch central display with voice control capability. You also get a soft folding top, removable doors, and a fold-down front windshield. Several packages are available for the Sport, including the Willys Sport, the Sport S, the Willys, and the 80th Anniversary Edition, which gives exterior upgrades and more interior tech. Moving up to the Overland adds automatic headlights, power windows, heated power mirrors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 7-inch central display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Rubicon provides you with a host of off-road features, including a 4.10 rear axle ratio, 33-inch all-terrain tires, fenders with increased clearance, FOX shock absorbers, locking front and rear differentials, and body-protecting rock rails and skid plates. Last up is the Mojave, which rounds out the features lineup with a reinforced frame, FOX internal bypass shock absorbers, and Desert Rated badge.

What are the safety features?

Safety is one of Jeep’s main concerns, which is why the Gladiator comes with a ton of available safety features. Available is a Blind-Spot Monitoring System that monitors the vehicles in your blind-spot and helps you make easy lane changes. Also available is an Adaptive Cruise Control System with Full Stop, which automatically adjusts your driving speed and allows you to maintain a pre-selected distance between the Gladiator and the traffic ahead. The last system that we will talk about is the Rear Park Assist System that uses sonar sensors in the rear bumper to detect objects behind you while you are backing up to back into parking spaces with confidence.
